1. Getting Started IT

To start bidding or selling classic motorcycles, you need a verified account. Here's how:

  1. Click "Sign Up" in the top right corner
  2. Enter your name, email address, and create a strong password
  3. Verify your email address (check your spam folder if you don't see it)
  4. Verify your phone number β€” this is required to prevent fake bidders
  5. Choose your account type: Private or Professional
  6. Complete your profile (address, payment method for buyers)

Why verification matters: We keep fake accounts and bots off our platform. Every bidder is a real person.

Professional sellers only: If you register as a professional seller, you must complete Stripe Connect KYC verification before you can list any motorcycle. This is required by European and Belgian anti-money laundering laws.

Your dashboard is your command center. Here's what you'll find:

  • Browse Auctions β€” See all active, upcoming, and ended auctions
  • My Watchlist β€” Motorcycles you're following (get notifications when bidding starts)
  • My Bids β€” Track all your active and past bids
  • My Wins β€” Motorcycles you've won (with payment and delivery status)
  • My Listings β€” For sellers: manage your active and upcoming auctions
  • Messages β€” Communicate with buyers/sellers (only after a bid is placed or item is sold)

Bidding on a classic motorcycle is exciting. Here's how it works:

Step-by-step:

  1. Find a motorcycle you love (use the search and filters)
  2. Click on the listing to see all photos, condition report, and frame number
  3. During the live auction, you'll see a "Place Bid" button
  4. Enter your bid amount β€” it must be at least the minimum increment above the current bid
  5. A confirmation popup shows your estimated total cost (bid + VAT + transaction costs)
  6. Click "Confirm Bid"
  7. You'll receive an instant confirmation and an email

Important rules:

  • All bids are final and binding β€” you cannot retract a bid
  • If you are the highest bidder when the auction ends, you must complete the purchase
  • Bids placed in the final minute may extend the auction (anti-sniping protection)

When you place a bid, the confirmation popup shows you exactly what you will pay if you win:

  • Bidding price

Your winning bid amount

  • VAT on bidding

VAT on the motorcycle (rate depends on seller type and buyer location)

  • Transaction costs

Stripe fee: 2.9% + €0.30 + 21% VAT

  • Total cost

The total you will pay if you win

Example (Belgian professional seller, Belgian private buyer, bid €1.200):

  • Bidding price: €1.200,00
  • VAT on bidding (21%): €252,00
  • Transaction costs (2,9% + €0,30 + 21% VAT): €42,41 + €8,91 = €51,32
  • Total you pay: €1.503,32

Example (Belgian professional seller, Belgian private buyer, bid €1.200):

  • Bidding price: €1.200,00
  • VAT on bidding (21%): €252,00
  • Transaction costs (2,9% + €0,30 + 21% VAT): €42,41 + €8,91 = €51,32
  • Total you pay: €1.503,32

Don't have time to watch every bid? Use our auto-bidding system.

You only pay the lowest amount needed to win β€” never your full maximum unless someone pushes you there.

You will receive outbid notifications by email and SMS (if enabled). You can always increase your maximum bid.

Many auctions have a reserve price β€” the minimum amount the seller is willing to accept.

  • "Reserve not reached" (red badge): The bike will NOT sell at the current price
  • "Reserve reached" (green badge): The bike WILL sell to the highest bidder

If the auction ends and the reserve is not reached, the seller can choose to:

  • Accept the highest bid anyway
  • Relist the motorcycle
  • Keep it

When someone outbids you, we immediately notify you:

  • Email (within 1 minute)
  • SMS (if you enabled it in your settings)
  • Dashboard alert (when you log in)

You then have time to place a higher bid β€” unless the auction ends in the next few seconds.

Once an auction ends, the full bidding history is hidden. Only the winner and the final price are visible. This protects the privacy of all bidders.

Keep your account details current to avoid payment or communication issues.

  • Once approved, your motorcycle goes into preview week β€” no bidding yet

Important for professional sellers: You must complete Stripe Connect KYC verification before you can list any motorcycle.

If your motorcycle sold:

  1. The winner has 48 hours to pay into escrow (Stripe Connect)
  2. You receive a notification that payment has been received
  3. Contact the buyer to arrange pickup
  4. At pickup, the buyer inspects the motorcycle
  5. Both you and the buyer log into your dashboards
  6. You click: "I have handed over the motor"
  7. Buyer clicks: "I have received the motor"
  8. Money is immediately released to your wallet (no waiting period)
  9. You can withdraw to your bank account right away

If your motorcycle did NOT sell:

  • You can relist it for free (within 30 days)
  • You can lower your reserve price
  • You can accept the highest bid (if any) even if reserve was not met β€” contact support

When you win an auction, you have 48 hours to pay.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) β€” via Stripe
  • Bancontact (Belgium)

How to pay:

  1. Go to "My Wins" in your dashboard
  2. Click "Pay Now" on the motorcycle you won
  3. Select your payment method
  4. Confirm the amount
  5. Complete payment

Important: Your payment goes into escrow (Stripe Connect) β€” not directly to the seller. The seller only receives the money after both parties confirm the delivery in their dashboards.

How escrow protects you:

You pay

β†’ Escrow account (Stripe Connect)

Both parties confirm delivery

β†’ Released to seller

You never pick up (seller's fault)

β†’ Refunded to you (minus transaction costs)

You never confirm (buyer changes mind)

β†’ Refunded to you (minus fees) after 14 days

Dispute process:

If the buyer opens a dispute:

  1. Buyer fills out a form explaining the problem (with photos)
  2. Admin mediates between buyer and seller
  3. Admin decides on resolution:
  • Full or partial refund to buyer (seller must return money to platform)
  • Rejection of dispute (buyer receives nothing)
  • Other solution agreed by both parties

Important: Even if the seller has already received the money, a dispute is still possible. If the seller refuses to return funds, their account will be blocked and legal steps may follow.

Dispute reasons can include:

  • Motorcycle does not match description
  • Hidden defects discovered after pickup
  • Missing documents or keys
  • Seller did not hand over the motorcycle

We are currently using a double confirmation system to ensure safe deliveries.

Step-by-step process:

  1. Buyer pays β†’ money goes to escrow (Stripe Connect)
  2. Both parties receive each other's contact details
  3. Buyer and seller meet at the agreed pickup location
  4. Buyer inspects the motorcycle thoroughly
  5. Both log into their dashboards on their phones
  6. Seller clicks: "I have handed over the motor"
  7. Buyer clicks: "I have received the motor"
  8. Money is immediately released to the seller's wallet
  9. Seller can withdraw to bank account right away

No waiting period:Β  Once both parties confirm, the transaction is complete and the seller receives the money immediately.

Buyer protection: You have the opportunity to inspect the motorcycle before you click "I have received the motor". Once you click, the transaction is final. However, you can still open a dispute after payment if something is wrong (see section 5.4).

  • Buyer pays but never picks up

Β After 14 days, buyer can request refund (minus transaction costs)

  • Seller never shows up for pickup

Buyer reports β†’ we investigate β†’ refund if seller at fault

  • Motorcycle is not as described

Do NOT click "I have received". Contact support immediately. Funds remain in escrow

  • Buyer clicks "received" but claims no delivery
